Jenna Cooper is the Director of Technology & Innovation at the Central Indiana Educational Service Center (CIESC), supporting 35 member districts through strategic leadership in AI integration, professional development, and data privacy. With 16 years of experience in K-12 educational technology, she has led district-wide innovation efforts, rebuilt service-focused tech teams, and aligned systems with instructional and operational goals.
A Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL), Jenna has held key leadership roles with the Indiana CoSN State Chapter and helped organize the annual Indiana CTO Clinic. She is also a longtime leader in the Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators (HECC) organization. Known for her collaborative, service-driven leadership style, Jenna is passionate about empowering educators and building future-ready systems across Indiana.
Professional Learning Specialist
With a 30-year career in public education, she has dedicated her life to inspiring students and strengthening school communities. After retirement, she continued to center her passion around College and Career Readiness, where she continues to guide the next generation toward meaningful academic and professional pathways and work-based learning. Grounded in a deep belief in the transformative power of education, her focus has always been on mentorship, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to student success.
Her academic background reflects a lifelong dedication to educational excellence. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Education from the University of Indianapolis, followed by a Master of Education and building-level administrative licensure from Indiana Wesleyan University. To further hone her leadership impact, she later earned an Educational Specialist (EdS) degree from Indiana State University—a strong foundation that has powered her work as both a classroom educator and administrator.
Beyond her professional life, family is truly the heart of everything she does. She is the proud parent of four grown, married children and a devoted grandparent of nine grandchildren. When she is not working in education, you will find her spending quality time with her family, and cheering on local sports teams—especially when it means watching her grandchildren compete from the sidelines. If not watching sports, she is likely working on a renovation project or diving into a good book.
Program Coordinator
Maddy Storz is the Program Coordinator for Keep Indiana Learning. She is a graduate of Indiana University and has worked in the education field as a high school science teacher and a curriculum trainer. She loves being able to leverage her diverse background to support the numerous valuable programs run by the Keep Indiana Learning team. She looks forward to expanding these services and her skill set as CIESC continues to grow and adapt to the ever-changing needs of Indiana’s educators. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, baking, thrifting, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Honey.
Program and Outreach Coordinator
Cara is an educator with over ten years in the field, encompassing instructional support, math and literacy intervention, curriculum development, and elementary teaching. A lifelong Brownsburg resident, she holds Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology from the University of Indianapolis and in Teaching from Indiana Wesleyan University.
District E-Learning Specialist
Tim Arnold is a District eLearning Specialist with Richmond Community schools in Richmond, IN. Prior to that he was a social studies teacher, coach, and educational leader at Nettle Creek Schools in Hagerstown, IN.
Tim was selected as a Top Ten Educator in the State of Indiana, taught Social Studies methods in the Earlham College Master of Arts in Teaching program, and has presented at multiple local, state and national conferences (ICE, HECC, CanvasCon, InstructureCon, ISTE) on topics he is passionate about including blended learning, student engagement, Canvas, G Suite for Education, and Building Community through VR Tour Creator.
Additionally, Tim holds certifications in Technology Leadership (CIESC Cohort 8), Google (Level 1), FlipGrid, and Nearpod and collaborates with @RCSLearn colleagues to host a Twitter chat with over 120 episodes, and is a HECC Board Member.
Tim was honored to be a 2023 Indiana University School of Education Jacob’s Award Winner and to receive the Candice Dodson Award. Tim’s mantra is to serve others with patient persistence.
Technology Coach
Stevie Frank (she/her) is a Digital Learning Coach at her school in Zionsville, Indiana. Stevie has 14 years of education background and earned her master’s degree in Literacy Education from Indiana University at Indianapolis.
She’s just recently been named one of Ed Tech Magazine’s top 30 K-12 Influencers to follow. When she’s not learning to become an educator for ALL students, she’s marking off travels with her family.
Instructional Technology Coordinator
Sara Atkinson is the Instructional Technology Coordinator for Duneland School Corporation in Chesterton, IN. Sara has previously served as an elementary teacher and instructional coach. She is passionate about supporting teachers and administrators through a partnership approach and designing curriculum that supports student growth and success.
Director of EL Programming and Recruitment
Sandy Goehring is the Director of EL Programming and Recruitment for Global Special Education Associates. Prior to her current position, she served as an elementary teacher, instructional coach, special education compliance coordinator, and assistant principal for five years. She is a proud Butler Bulldog. In her current position, she is responsible for supporting EL programs in several charter schools. She provides professional development on numerous student services topics. Last year, she had the opportunity to serve as a virtual second grade teacher in conjuction with her special education position. Because of her passion for digital learn, this was an exciting adventure!
Technology Integration Specialist
Nicole Nelson is the K-12 Technology Integration Specialist for Lewis Cass Schools in Walton, Indiana. Nicole is a certified educator with ISTE and Canvas. She uses this knowledge to support teachers in their efforts to implement technology in meaningful ways in order to increase student engagement. In addition, she works with the elementary media specialist on planning digital citizenship and computer science curriculum. Nicole has more than 20 years of classroom experience in the primary grades as well as STEM education with middle school students. She is a Google Certified Trainer and Educator with a passion for helping teachers leverage these tools to incorporate creativity, collaboration and critical thinking within their classrooms.
Educational Technology Specialist
Melissa Walley is the Educational Technology Specialist for Hanover Community School Corporation, located in Cedar Lake, Indiana. She has been in education since 1998 and is a proud ISTE Certified EdTech Leader and Instructional Leader. Melissa has teaching experience in kindergarten through third grade and also has experience as an elementary school principal. Her role with Hanover Community Schools, includes elementary computer science programming for the district, as well as 6-12 instructional technology coaching.
Melissa is a Board Member for Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators (HECC) and is a member of Indiana Connected Educators and ISTE. Her goal is to support educators and help them step out of their comfort zones.
Coordinator of Student Services / Director of Early Learning
Kristin Parisi is the Director of the Early Learning Center in MSD of Washington Township. Kristin is an experienced educator, spending the majority of her career in early childhood and elementary education along with special education.
Her passion is inclusion, early literacy, and spending as much time as possible in the classroom with children. Kristin also works to help parents navigate the early intervention process as they transition their children from community services to school-based services.
Solutions Architect
Karisa Schwanekamp is a Solutions Architect at MagicSchool AI, dedicated to bringing joy to teaching and learning worldwide. With 21 years in education, she has served in special education, elementary education, STEM programming, high ability, and tech integration.
Karisa was named a 2025 ASU+GSV AI Innovator, 2023 Plainfield Teacher of the Year, and a top ten finalist for Indiana Teacher of the Year. She’s also a 2023 IU Jacobs Educator and founding member of YaySTEM!, a group whose mission is to bring joy to learning and teaching through STEM education. Karisa is an Innovation Coach with Keep Indiana Learning, serves on the Central Indiana STEM Ecosystem Advisory Board, is a Book Creator Ambassador & Author, serves on the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County Board, and is an Ambassador for Expeditions in Education. She has a bachelor’s degree in special education and elementary education from Indiana University and a master’s degree in applied behavioral analysis with a focus in autism from Ball State University.
She makes a great team with her husband, Brent, who is the principal at Plainfield High School. They love to explore the outdoors with their 4 children.
Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Innovation
Jonathan Winslow is the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Innovation at MSD of Steuben County, where he is dedicated to fostering a dynamic and effective learning environment for students. In this role, he provides comprehensive support to teachers, guiding them in developing curriculum maps, evaluating existing curricula for effectiveness and alignment, creating assessments, implementing innovative instructional strategies, and providing personalized coaching to enhance their pedagogical skills. Jonathan is currently pursuing his Ed.D in Educational Leadership at Ball State University.
His career in education is marked by a diverse range of experiences, including serving as a classroom teacher, technology coordinator, instructional coach, and assistant principal. This varied background has given him a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities educators face today, allowing him to effectively support teachers and administrators in their efforts to improve student outcomes. Jonathan is an active participant in shaping educational practices at the state level, serving on numerous Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) cadres and committees. He is a speaker and has presented at both local and national conferences on a variety of topics, including mathematics education, SoR Aligned Instruction, Writing, and the effective integration of technology in the classroom.
ELA Teacher
Going into his 34rd year of education, John Wells brings extensive experience and passion to F.J. Reitz High School in Evansville, where he currently teaches English Language Arts (ELA) and Public Speaking. He holds both a BA and a MS from the University of Southern Indiana. In addition to classroom teaching, John actively collaborates with fellow educators to integrate technology into their teaching practices, enhancing the educational experience for students and has presented at numerous local, state, and regional conferences. John continues to contribute to the professional development of educators statewide as the 2025 President of the Indiana Connected Educators.
Media/STEM Specialist
Jessica Zepik is a Media/STEM Specialist at East Elementary, which is a part of South Madison Community Schools in Pendleton, IN. Her role includes managing the elementary library and supporting teachers and students with STEM/blended learning. She coaches the Spell Bowl team, sponsors the Girls Who Code club and serves on the School Improvement Committee. Jessica has a graduate certificate in Online Teaching and Assessment, a high ability endorsement, is a Project Lead the Way and Project Based Learning trainer and ISTE Certified Educator. She is a lifelong learner who is passionate about education and loves working with teachers and students!
STEM instructor
Jen Stewart is currently teaching a project-based STEM class at Maxwell Intermediate School. This is her 26th year of teaching. Prior to this year she taught computer science, social studies, and language arts.
Jen is a long-time Nearpod PioNear and a level three Nearpod Certified Educator. She is also an Apple Teacher and an Apple Learning Coach. She has led many PD sessions around the Midwest on using technology to increase student engagement and learning.
District Technology Instructional Specialist
Dianna Knox is the Technology Instructional Specialist for Clay Community Schools in Brazil, Indiana. She has held this position since 2017. In her role, she supports K12 teachers in Canvas implementation, efficient use of PowerTeacher PRO, and other blended/digital learning tools and resources.
She always seeks to learn more about UDL and best practices in digital learning. Dianna is a Canvas Certified Educator, an Instructure Community Coach, an ISTE Certified EdTech Leader & ISTE Certified Instructional Leader, and co-leads the Indiana Canvas Users and Educators group.
She also serves as an Innovation Coach with Keep Indiana Learning. She loves learning new things and helping teachers explore and discover resources and strategies to help them maximize their impact with students.
Assistant Director of Educational Technology
Brenny Kummer is the Assistant Director of EdTech for Bartholomew Consolidated Schools in Indiana. She is a former social studies teacher, Google Certified Trainer, UIndy adjunct professor for UDL, accessibility and assistive technology, graduate of the University of Arkansas Educational Technology Master’s program, and University of Arkansas Educational Tech student of the year in 2022. In her role, she trains staff on how to use UDL to guide technology integration, supports assistive technologies, and coordinates eLearning. Brenny has a passion for UDL and experience teaching in a full inclusion setting. She has presentation experience at the local, state, national, and international levels. In her spare time she loves running, reading, and spending time with her husband and 2 Siberian huskies.
Technology Integration Specialist / PLTW Launch Teacher (K-5)
Amy Stevens is the Technology Integration Specialist and PLTW Launch Teacher for grades K-5 at Tri Elementary. This is her 21st year as an Indiana elementary educator. Amy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Indiana University and her Masters in Arts of Teaching from Marian College’s (now Marian University) Transition to Teaching program.
Over the years, Amy and her teammates have taken districts from a single cart of devices to 1:1, as well as from paper packets to meaningful virtual instruction. She has led her students, staff and other IN educators through various learning ed-ventures. As an Apple Teacher, an Apple Learning Coach and an Apple Distinguished Educator, her passion is to encourage students to grow as problem solvers and to encourage teachers to grow the idea of “best practices in the classroom” while ensuring that all learners know that she is their biggest fan.
Karen is an educator with 23 years of experience in public education. She has taught K-2 and served in various leadership roles, including school curriculum coordinator, HA coordinator, and district science lead. Karen earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master’s in Education from Indiana University.
Erin Brown is a 17-year veteran of public education in Indiana. She is a graduate of DePauw University and Marian University with degrees in Elementary and Special Education. She has been a fifth-, sixth-, and second-grade teacher, a K-8 Interventionist, and an Instructional Coach.
Lindsey has almost 20 years of education experience. Sheholds a BS in Secondary English Education from Indiana University, Indianapolis, and a MS in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan University. Lindsey has served as a classroom teacher, a national education non-profit director, and she is the author of two books, her first addressing trauma in education. Lindsey is a passionate advocate for teacher well-being, and loves being able to support teachers, coaches, and students through the LIteracy Cadtre by implementing Science of Reading principles in grades K-3.
Kayla has over 10 years of experience in education. She holds a BS in Elementary Education from Ball State University and a M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning from the University of Alaska – Anchorage. She has taught in Alaska, Kentucky, and Indiana. She specializes in literacy and EL instruction. She currently supports 10 literacy coaches through the Indiana Literacy Cadre to implement the Science of Reading in grades K-3.
Beth has been an educator since 2004. She graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a degree in general and special education. She also has a masters in technology leadership and her administration license from Indiana University. Beth taught in the classroom for 10 years and was a literacy coach for 10 years. She currently is a Training Support Specialist with the Indiana Literacy Cadre focusing on improving reading outcomes utilizing research based practices and instructional coaching.
Natasha has over twenty years of experience in education. She is a graduate of Miami University (in Ohio not Florida!) and Indiana University. Natasha has served in a variety of roles in education including classroom teacher, department chair, and instructional coach. Natasha is passionate about multilingual learners in education and how to best serve their needs. She currently serves 6 schools within the Literacy Cadre by helping to implement Science of Reading principles and instructional strategies utilizing Student Centered Coaching.
Jane Ann has over 25 years of experience in education. Her BA is from Franklin College, MA from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Jane Ann is a dyslexia specialist and an educational diagnostician. She is currently supporting 8 literacy coaches participating in the Indiana Literacy Cadre
Karen has over 20 years experience in education. She holds a BS from Missouri Southern State University, MS from Pittsburg State University, and EdS from Liberty University. She currently supports 13 literacy coaches in implementing the Science of Reading in K-3 classrooms.
Tanika Kinartail is a Professional Learning Specialist at the Central Indiana Educational Service Center (CIESC), where she designs and facilitates professional development for teachers and administrators. She delivers practical, engaging support in teacher evaluation, multilingual learner support, professional learning communities (PLCs), and classroom engagement strategies.
Tanika brings 19 years of total experience in education, combining 15 years of school-based field experience, seven as an elementary classroom teacher and eight as an assistant principal, with four years in regional professional development at CIESC. This background allows her to connect with educators and align administrative goals with classroom practice.
A dual alumna of Indiana University–Bloomington, Tanika earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2007 and her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management, along with a K–12 Building Principal license, in 2011. She also teaches pre-service educators as an adjunct instructor at Ivy Tech Community College-Indianapolis.
Janet Antle, with 37 of experience in special education, has dedicated her career to fostering inclusive learning environments. She has taught across all grade levels and held leadership roles, including Special Education Coordinator and Life Skills and Autism Coordinator. Currently, as an Early Childhood Specialist with the Early Childhood Education Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program, she supports aspiring educators while championing early childhood development.
Professional Learning Specialist
Ryan Murray is a Professional Learning Specialist at CIESC, where he leads the AI work for Keep Indiana Learning. He has been in education since 2010 with a focus on mathematics, science, and integrated STEM. He began teaching all subjects in an elementary classroom, moved to STEM at the intermediate level, and has served as a department lead, equity coach, and dean of students. He also taught math methods courses for pre-service teachers. He has sat in most of the seats he is now asked to support.
His current work centers on AI in K-12 schools. Ryan designed the SAIL AI Certification program, a tiered credentialing framework that treats AI as a co-pilot and makes human judgment something to be taught and assessed rather than assumed. He works with teachers, instructional coaches, and district leaders across Indiana through school visits, workshops, and webinars, and he puts safety and policy ahead of tool access by design. He holds an MS in Educational Leadership.
Samantha Vidal is a Professional Learning Specialist at Central Indiana Educational Service Center (CIESC), where she supports educators and school systems in strengthening comprehensive school counseling programs, student support systems, behavior and mental health practices, and career-connected learning. A school counselor by training, Samantha has more than 15 years of experience in education and is passionate about helping schools build practical, data-driven systems that improve outcomes for all students.
Samantha also serves as an adjunct professor at Butler University and is an ASCA Certified Trainer Shadow. She is a certified PREPaRE Workshop 2 trainer, QPR Gatekeeper Instructor, and CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certified Instructor, with expertise in school crisis response, suicide prevention, behavior support, and de-escalation.
Samantha was named the 2014 Indiana Elementary School Counselor of the Year and was a 2016 finalist for ASCA School Counselor of the Year. She has served in state and national leadership roles, including more than a decade with the Indiana School Counselor Association and three years on the American School Counselor Association Board of Directors. She holds a master’s degree in school counseling from Butler University and a graduate certificate in mental health counseling.
Morgan Mason is a Professional Learning Specialist for Keep Indiana Learning, a department of Central Indiana Educational Service Center. Morgan began her journey as an educator in 2015. She started as an elementary classroom teacher, serving students in grades 1, 3, and 4. From there, she transitioned into the role of instructional coach, where she supported English Language Arts teachers in grades K-8. As a member of the school leadership team, she worked closely with administrators to develop systems designed to positively impact teachers and students. When she began at CIESC, she worked with schools to implement the Science of Reading alongside a Student-Centered Coaching model.
Morgan’s work has increasingly expanded into early childhood and early literacy, with a focus on strengthening the connection between early learning experiences and later literacy success. She has developed and facilitated professional learning for early childhood and elementary educators, supported initiatives focused on kindergarten readiness and transition, and worked alongside educators to strengthen evidence-aligned early literacy practices. Her work emphasizes building strong foundations in oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, and other skills that support children as they develop into successful readers and writers.

Erin McNeill is a Professional Learning Specialist for Keep Indiana Learning, a Central Indiana Educational Service Center department. She spent eighteen years in the classroom as an English Language Arts and English as a New Language teacher and coordinator, and two years as the co-chair of English Education at Indiana University, where she continues to teach language and literacy courses every semester. Erin McNeill is not just a practitioner but also an active education researcher. She focuses on asset-based strategies and engagement for all students and places a high value on building relationships with diverse students. Her research has led to a significant project that studies how practitioners can effectively use the information they learn about their students in literacy projects to build a culturally relevant curriculum based on students’ experiences and interests.
Lynn Bowman has over 10 years of experience in education, holding degrees from Baker College, Indiana Wesleyan University, and a master’s in curriculum and instruction from Grand Canyon University. As an ECE RTAP specialist, she continually empowers students and shapes the future of education.

Jessica is a Professional Learning Specialist with Keep Indiana Learning, a department of CIESC, where she supports teachers, schools, and districts in the areas of mathematics and instructional coaching. She has worked in education since 2008 and earned her bachelor’s degree from Butler University and her Master’s degree as an Elementary/Middle School Mathematics Specialist from Ball State University.
Prior to joining CIESC, Jessica served as an elementary classroom teacher, STEM teacher and coach, and instructional coach. In addition to her work with Keep Indiana Learning, she serves as a Consultant with Diane Sweeney Consulting, supporting schools in their implementation of Student-Centered Coaching.
Jessica believes the best professional learning is practical, collaborative, and centered on improving outcomes for students. She enjoys partnering with educators to turn ideas into action through meaningful, job-embedded learning experiences.
Professional Learning Specialist
Jeff Harker has been working in and around public education since 1990. He spent 31 years as a middle school mathematics teacher, literacy coach, and cross country coach. He now travels the state helping teachers improve their craft and perfect the art of teaching. He produces 4 podcasts for KINL and is the host of two of them, Home Grown about general education topics and Middle School Masterclass about issues specific to the middle grades.
Jeff is also one of the Central 1 Regional Team Leaders in Indiana for the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM), and is the current President for the Indiana Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM).
His interests include mathematics curriculum and content development, thinking classrooms, assessment, student engagement, and grading reform. He has dedicated his career to helping others through education.
Christy White has 24 years of experince as an urban public school elementary teacher. She holds a BS from Purdue University and MS from Indiana University Indianapolis. Christy currently supports Indiana Literacy Cadre coaches in the implementation of Science of Reading practices in grades K-3.
Digital Content Manager
Martie is a lifelong Hoosier dedicated to the art of learning and helping others grow. As the Digital Content Manager for Keep Indiana Learning at CIESC since 2021, she has spent her entire professional career in educational spaces.
Martie brings diverse experience to her role, including 11 years as a seventh-grade reading and writing teacher, preceded by 11 years as a technical unit trainer at USA Group/Sallie Mae. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Education from Indiana University and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Administration from Ball State University.
Outside of her professional life, Martie is a wife, mom, and MiMi who loves to travel and lose herself in a good book.
Director of Keep Indiana Learning
Courtney is in her 30th year in education. Prior to becoming the Director of Keep Indiana Learning at the Central Indiana Educational Service Center, she was a professional learning specialist and the Assistant Director. Courtney spent 17 years working in public, private, and public charter schools in Indiana, New York City, and Wisconsin. She has been a classroom teacher in grades 1–6 and 7th and 8th grade mathematics, as well as an instructional coach and administrator. She also taught elementary mathematics methods at IUPUI for seven years.
As Director of Keep Indiana Learning, Courtney works with schools and districts to create the best possible learning experiences for the educators within them. She is passionate about helping leaders utilize resources effectively and efficiently, build meaningful systems of professional learning, and create a shared vision for teaching and learning across schools and districts. Her work is grounded in the belief that when educators are well supported and have opportunities to grow together, they are better equipped to create meaningful learning experiences for students.
Courtney is a national speaker who presents at conferences and professional learning events across the country. She has also been on several podcasts and hosts her own podcast, Math and Other Things, where she explores mathematics, education, and the many things that influence how we teach and learn.
Courtney has a Master of Arts in Educational Policy and Politics and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University. She is currently working to complete her PhD in Mathematics Education from Indiana University. Courtney prioritizes working with schools to help them better understand what instructional leaders need to do to support the creation of environments where elementary mathematics teachers feel supported in implementing and sustaining ambitious and equitable mathematics teaching practices in their classrooms. She is determined to change the narrative around admitting that one is “not a math person” by inspiring teachers to teach mathematics ambitiously – and maybe even have a little fun while doing so.
