The Road to MidCon virtual Events
January 22 at 4:00PM EST – “The Magic in the Middle” featuring Rick Wormeli
What makes the middle level a unique, interesting (and, yes, challenging) experience? And, what can we do to help students navigate this intense period of growth?
March 11 at 4:00PM EST – “Kids These Days are Different” featuring Katie Powell
Students face an abundance of traumatic events (a pandemic, global conflicts, school & community violence). These things impact behavior. Let’s explore strategies to reach our hard-to-teach post-COVID middle schoolers.
February 12 at 4:00PM EST – “Leading from the Middle” featuring Tom Hakim
How can we create an amazing school culture which prioritizes the importance of connections? Tom will look at best practices for leading growing middle schoolers and the educators who pour into them.
May 13 at 4:00PM EST – “Strategies to Help Students Connect and Take Risks” featuring Phyllis Fagell
Just talking about a growth mindset is not enough. How can we take students’ innate inclinations and enhance learning, encourage risk-taking, and build trust?
