With the ever rising needs of students and requirements from state agencies it is essential to have a multidisciplinary team (school counselors, school social workers, school psychologist, administration and teachers) that collaborate at high levels for student success. School Counselors no longer can be seen as the sole provider for academic, mental health and behavioral support for students. It is important for district and school leaders to understand the importance of each student service role and the responsibilities they can support at each level.
