    Amy Kamwendo has had the joy and privilege of teaching middle school choir for 11 years. She has experience in teaching choral music as well as musical theater. Amy believes that all students have the ability to enjoy, express, and make music and is a strong advocate for inclusion of ELL and Exceptional Learners within the performing arts. She was awarded Teacher of the Year for her building in 2014, received the Superintendent's Above and Beyond Award in 2015 and 2016, and was a Lilly Grant recipient in 2017. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Communications from Purdue University. Outside of teaching, Amy loves a great cup of coffee, traveling, and time spent with her family and friends.
