Keep Indiana Learning Celebrates 4 Years of Supporting Indiana Educators
Keep Indiana Learning (KINL) is celebrating four years of supporting Indiana educators with engaging, relevant, and interactive professional learning. Founded in 2020 in response to the pandemic shift to virtual learning, KINL was developed to provide an empowering, collaborative community to help invest in educators to transform student learning. Initially providing online professional learning opportunities, KINL has expanded to offer a variety of resources, including live events, a digital content library, customized professional development, expert networks, and so much more.
To recognize this important milestone, the KINL team shared cupcakes with four-year-old preschoolers at Skiles Test Elementary and celebrated with Literacy by Design workshop attendees. In addition, KINL is offering an opportunity to be entered into a drawing for a free registration to any 2024 KINL event (some exclusions apply) when using the hashtag #KINLturns4 on social media platforms.
“We’re incredibly excited to be celebrating this milestone,” said Lena Darnay, director. “We’re a team of passionate professionals who are dedicated to the success of Indiana educators and investing in their development to transform student learning. Together, with creative contributions from educational leaders across the state and region, KINL enhances professional learning and works to remove barriers to equitable, engaging learning experiences for educators, leaders, and families.”
This year, KINL will continue its legacy of investing in educators by providing relevant and engaging professional learning opportunities, including MidCon 2024, the first-of-its-kind, in-person conference in Indiana designed specifically for middle school teachers, student services professionals, and administrators from across the country. The event will offer two days of dynamic learning designed to elevate the middle school experience.
With creative contributions from educational leaders across the state and region, KINL—created by the Central Indiana Educational Service (CIESC) and supported by the Educational Service Centers of Indiana—enhances professional learning, which creates relevant, engaging, and equitable learning opportunities for all students. Together, we are investing in educators to transform student learning. Cheers to four years of impact!
