The Referendum Workshop

Navigating Politics, Financial Planning, Legal Compliance, and Strategic Messaging

Our Public Schools Work is hosting a workshop for schools that are considering a referendum this fall. Sessions will allow district teams to focus on creating and executing an effective referendum campaign.

Who should attend?

District teams consisting of the superintendent, board member, business manager/CFO and communication specialists should attend. Possible committee chairs and or community members are welcome as well.

What to Expect

Dates and Times: June 10, 2026 from 9:00AM – 3:30PM
Location: In-Person at CIESC (3500 Depauw Blvd. Indianapolis, IN 46268 – Pyramid 3, Floor 2)

Also available virtually via Zoom.

Informational sessions will focus on Legal Perspectives, Political Considerations, Financial Supports, Successful Messaging, and Handling the Opposition. Time will be provided for teams to debrief and begin planning discussions.
