At the core of the Future-Focused Learning Series lies the synergy between IDOE and ESCI. Drawing upon their collective expertise and insights, these two esteemed organizations have joined forces to create a series of powerful learning opportunities to empower educators and transform classrooms. Three Types of Standards released in 2023
In the 2022 and 2023 sessions, the Indiana State legislation revealed a proactive approach towards enhancing education and empowering students for the future. In response to evolving educational needs, the legislation called for a comprehensive review of the existing academic standards. The resulting changes, including the streamlining and prioritizing of standards, and the creation of the Integrated STEM and Early Learning standards, aimed to provide a cohesive and forward-thinking framework which equips Indiana students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in an ever-changing world.

1. Streamlined and Prioritized Standards Across the K-12 Content Areas
The Future-Focused Learning Series will showcase the 2023 streamlined and prioritized standards across all K-12 content areas. These standards have been thoughtfully curated to focus on essential concepts, allowing educators to dive deeper into content, foster critical thinking, and ignite curiosity in students.
Gone are the days of sifting through an overwhelming number of standards; instead, educators can now concentrate on the most crucial concepts, enabling a more profound understanding and application of knowledge. 2. Newly Released Integrated STEM Standards

Future-Focused Learning Series of Events

These one-day in-person summits, hosted by ESCI and IDOE, will take place at various locations across the state. 2. Online Courses
