Balancing the Science & Art of Teaching Reading (Presented by Celena Larkey)

In this session, Celena discusses the actual science behind the science of reading and the instructional practices that matter to learners. What’s more, she shares the history of teaching a balanced literacy framework. She’ll share methods and content to both support and find ways to include science of reading and varied literary practices into daily classroom practices. The video aims to set teachers up for cohesive practices that encompass readers in developing an interest for as well as a systematic understanding of phonics development and reading behaviors.
