STEM Synergy is a STEM-centric community of practice committed to fostering the delivery of data-informed services, including high-quality professional development, resources, and support for STEM-focused districts, programs, and organizations in an endeavor to produce a combined impact greater than the sum of separate STEM efforts.
STEM Synergy is a result of numerous partnerships over the years and is the latest iteration of the Indiana STEM Ecosystem. During 2020, legislature supported the newly-developed Indiana 6-year STEM Strategic Plan and through a new partnership with CIESC and Keep Indiana Learning STEM Synergy was born!

STEM Ecosystem Needs Assessment
This comprehensive STEM needs assessment tool was developed by the Indiana STEM Ecosystem with input from partners and practitioners from the STEM field. This tool is intended to assist both novice and veteran local or regional STEM providers in identifying how their practices, offerings, and programs across formal and informal education settings align to the STEM expectations of the state of Indiana.
This tool is beneficial for anyone offering or interested in offering high-quality, equitable STEM programming to youth in Indiana. It was created through cross-walking and merging vetted Indiana specific STEM tools and standards for both formal and informal learning from the Indiana Department of Education and the Indiana Afterschool Network.
