Supporting our new teachers is such an important lift, why not lift together! As we work to retain new teachers and promote confidence in their ability to impact learning, we need effective systems and supports. Let’s combine our expertise and collectively create a pathway for success at the start of their journey into teaching. Join us for this collaborative effort of sharing resources, ideas, and program development.  We will focus on:

  • Ongoing/Second year support
  • Time – how are new teacher trainer sessions scheduled (after school, subs, etc.)
  • Different programs people have in place for new teachers:
    • On-going mentorship
    • New teacher academy
  • Differentiating between new teachers and new teachers to the district.
