Indiana Mathematics Leadership Academy (IMLA)
Indiana Mathematics Leadership Academy is a unique opportunity for K-12 school teams to work alongside Indiana math leaders and practitioners to shift away from traditional mathematics instruction to implementing transformational learning experiences in the classroom. This yearlong program is designed to build a strong network of empowered math leaders committed to equity and excellent for all K-12 students learning mathematics in Indiana schools. Participants will develop a school vision for mathematics teaching and learning, acquire knowledge and tools for supporting effective mathematics teaching and visionary professional learning. As well as work collaboratively to develop and implement plans for activating their common vision.
what Past participants are saying:
This is a hands on PD that will give you the chance to explore, practice and create a plan to apply the shifts in mathematics to your school! The year long approach is helpful to make sure that this learning stays top of mind and there is focus on students, teachers, instructional coaches and administrators. As a former English teacher and now high school principal, I would highly recommend this training to any administrators or instructional coaches who need to quickly get up to speed on best practices in math and how you can support your math leaders in this work!
