This workshop will present a culturally comprehensive approach to understanding the needs of this youth subpopulation and strategies for creating positive relationships and environments that allow them to thrive.

Learning Intention(s):
  1. Learn or become familiar with basic terminology
  2. Recognize specific vulnerabilities of LGBTQ+ persons in and out of the classroom
  3. Learn how to create a safe space for LGBTQ+ persons and strengthen relationships with the community and existing resources
