Understanding & Responding to Behavior through the Lens of Trauma, Stress, & Self-Regulation in Early Childhood

Join Diane Pike, the Director of Outreach and Professional Development for St. Mary’s Child Center, as she begins by outlining healthy early childhood brain development and defining trauma and behavior as a function of the stress-response. Part of this discussion will focus on the importance of adult-child co-regulation and the need to engage in meaningful self-care. Multiple strategies to support the development of both adult and child self-regulation skills will be shared.
