Adolescent Literacy

with Newsela and Keep Indiana Learning

In this active workshop, teachers and leaders can expect to learn and apply practical strategies to support adolescent literacy in their classrooms. Building literacy skills through language comprehension and background knowledge can be hard to do, especially in upper elementary, middle, and high school classrooms where students’ reading skills vary widely. In this session, you’ll learn instructional strategies to put in place tomorrow to build your adolescent learners into skilled readers.

Who should attend?

This workshop is for anyone who uses literacy strategies with grades 5 – 12.
