Ready to take your math instruction to the next level?
Keep Indiana Learning’s Big Math Ideas and Progression documents exist to help teachers and instructional leader become the best math teachers and leaders they can be. However, the documents are filled with A LOT of information and it will take time to work through them, understand how they can be used to develop YOUR mathematical pedagogical content knowledge.
If you are an instructional coach, math coach, Title I specialist, special education teacher, grade level lead teacher, or any kind of instructional leader, this cadre is for you! Over the course of 5 days during the year, we will break down each Big Ideas and Progression document by working to understand the math within, how it’s connected to grade level standards, and how to use them to help you guide teachers through the same process. During these 5 in-person days, we’ll explore the documents. In between our meetings, participants will use what they have learned and connect it to their practice as instructional leaders. Time during each session will be provided to reflect on what’s working, where there are struggles, and how we can all work together to create spaces for the teachers with whom we work to develop their pedagogical content knowledge!
